Street- / Book-Name

"Street Name" and "Book Name" refer to the different types of stock registration. With Street Name registration, stocks are registered in the name of the broker or bank instead of the actual owner's name, while with Book Name registration, stocks are registered in the name of the actual owner.

For individual investors, the choice between Street Name and Book Name registration can have some implications. With Street Name registration, it can be more difficult to determine whether the broker or bank actually owns the shares that belong to them. Additionally, it can be harder to exercise certain voting rights or participate in shareholder meetings if the stocks are registered in the broker's or bank's name.

In contrast, Book Name registration can mean more control over stocks for individual investors, as they are registered as the owner directly. However, it should be noted that registration in the name of the actual owner can incur additional costs in some cases, especially when it comes to managing stocks in large quantities.
